I thought this would make a really nice gift so I bought one recently, its described as genuine 999.9 Credit Suisse solid gold ingot on solid stainless steel. The watch is not as described at all, after only a few months of occasional wear the "solid" stainless steel began to wear off from the watch casing and bracelet exposing a cheap base metal not included in the description. I feel ripped off at having paid AED1,275 for a worthless watch and so embarrassed at having given this fake as a gift. I had it inspected at a specialist watch maker in the UK and its not solid stainless steel at all, only plated with a very thin layer of it. The materials do not match the price or description. Very disappointing that Emirates would sell such an item when Dubai is doing so much to stamp out knock offs and phony goods. Its less than two years old so I wrote to Emirates to complain but two weeks later I still have had no reply at all. This is the description from the in-flight Duty Free catalogue. [i'>This exquisite limited edition gents watch is adorned with a stunning 1 gram 999.9 certified solid gold ingot. Each carries the Credit Suisse stamp and is individually numbered and authenticated for an additional touch of elegance and exclusivity. In solid stainless steel case and bracelet with gold plating. Water resistant to 5ATM. This watch comes with a two year international warranty.[/i'> content.emirates.com/downloads/ek/pdfs/duty_free_collection/201301_ek_duty_free_collection.pdf its on page 48 Buyer beware!
