Has anyone had experience of the golf lessons at the Els Club? Only noticed the sign today (clearly I'm blind!)!!

Its for a 12yr old who has played previously, but not for a while.

Thanks so much!

many thanks to both of you for the information. as a golfer myself (sadly also a single working mum so little time to play) i would never enrol in a school that didn't provide practice sessions - what on earth is the point? infact, the best lessons are usually whilst playing a practice round! so its good to hear the BH approach - won't be going there! - shame as I'm moving to VH next week. Al Badia is a bit of a hike from Victory Heights, especially after school, but will call Joanne and get some information - do you by any chance have her contact details? really appreciate the info, ladies...thanks!

Al Badia have a lady teaching professional called Joanne Bates. She teaches kids and ladies and I can recommend highly. Also her rates are so much better than some of the other teaching academies that I have been to.

The Butch Harmon (Ernie Els) school of golf is fantastic! Our son has improved so much since he started. Their teaching philosphy is a holistic approach and the child learns all types of sporting skills during the lesson. The downside of the Butch Harmon academy is that their fees are high and the students are not given ANY practise opportunity outside their lesson time as is with ALL other golf club academies in Dubai. For me this lets the entire academy down because any sports school should encourage students to practise and at AED 100 per driving range session........I am less than impressed and feel this let's the whole "philosophy" of the school down badly. Arabian Ranches academy is cheaper, perhaps not as good but has phenominal practise opportunities from the driving range to weekly tournaments! For me, it's the whole package!
