Exit permit for US Citizen baby flying out of Dubai
My baby has a temporary 1-year US passport issued yesterday, so no residence visa. US Consulate said Dubai probably will not issue a residence visa for her on a temporary passport. US delays in issuing birth announcements mean that they can't issue me a permanent passport until the end of March at the earliest, which will be too late for me to take my baby home to meet her grandparents. She is already 10 weeks old.
I will fly next week to the US. As i understand it, if there isn't a residence visa, I need to get an exit permit from DNRD before we travel. Is that right? Can I do this at DNATA in Deira, or are there only one or two locations that do exit permits?
My husband will come with me to get the exit permit and he will be travelling with us.
