My cousin is doing a stop over for 1 day.
He arrives at 12:30 in the afternoon on Friday and leaves again at 7am Saturday morning, so we don't want to do anything hectic that will tire him out too much.

I was thinking we could spend the afternoon at home just chillin' by the pool and then we could go out somewhere for dinner at around 6pm... I'll have my two kiddies with me (5yrs and 3yrs) and was thinking somewhere with a beach view/outside would be good.

I was thinking the Dhow & Anchor might be nice... I've never been though... what do you think? Any other suggestions?

Dhow & Anchor is very nice as you have the view of Burj al Arab. And they have good kids menu; the children get real cuttlery and plates with Aladin pictures.

We had a nice family dinner at Boardwalk at Creek Golf/Yacht Club. We actually sat inside but you can sit outside if you'd prefer, the staff were great with our 2.5 DD and you get a lovely view of the creek and if at the right time sunset over Dubai. QD's next door is nice too but not sure what their child policy is? We did eat at Dhow & Anchor when we first arrived in Dubai so a wee while ago now but I do remember that although we rocked up with 6 adults and 6 children ranging from 14mths to 11yrs they were really accommodating and sorted out tables for us and children's menu was pretty good - we did eat quite early though so was quiet but not necessarily a problem if you book and/or are not such a large party!!
