Frecks, good that he is on the antibiotics, really some kids, well actually most at this age out here seem to come down with one thing after another but really its just a phase. Re paracetamol, no more than 6 doses in 24 hours and no more than 4 doses of childrens Ibuprofen in 24 hours as base line. Suggest you write down when he has meds, lack of sleep can cause confusion! I'm sure the antibiotics will kick in in the next few days and life will be easier, make sure you finish the course! <em>edited by Sticky Wicket on 15/03/2011</em>

awww poor Freckles jr. Makes me wonder about my DS. We're back to him having coughing fits. try ventolin syrup or an anthistamine syrup? can we just ask the pharmacy for them or will i need a prescription you should be able to get them from the pharmacy..just tell them about his cough and see if they would recommend an antihistamine

lol!! He has ear and throat infections which weren't prevalent yesterday but thankfully tested negative for strep again, although doc said he looks like he has classic scarlett fever. Spots were because of the scarlett fever or whatever virus he has that is similar. Anyway, tylenol suppositories every 4 hours (he's gonna love that) and anti-biotics. Lumps on his neck and head are his lymph nodes which are raised to fight the infection. He's totally miserable but I am drinking through his pain!!
