I'm not that fast LOL just read ur reply will repot soon, is it something that needs my immediate attention? Glad you mentioned that its non toxic I had the poor plants in solitary since i noticed the fungus, I have 3 children didn’t want them to close to the plants. LOL !! Nope not really - but it will start to rot from the root up if its left .. Takes 5 minutes ..it will love you forever ..

White-ish, thank you bowbellscowbells will get rid of the top soil and repot. Note to self look up sharp sand/grit :) How did you get on ?? repotted hopefully....

is it green or white ?? Both are non toxic, it's just that there is not enough air getting around the plant soil when its been a bit waterlogged/over watered. I would scrape off the soil, repot it and maybe put some grit-stones on top - make sure the plant is well drained - if you intend to re pot then mix some sharp sand/grit into the soil for added drainage.
