http://www.morehotels.co.za/cape_cadogan/ cape cadogan hotel is nice - Boutique hotel - a converted house - no more than £125 a night? Its on the hill near table mountain - 5 mins cab to camps bay (went there for dinner) and also at the end of the road are cool bars and restaurants....

thanks for this, i have a wedding to attend to and my friend lives in Camps Bay... Do you know what other areas are there close by to camps bay, that might be slightly cheaper but won't take forever to get there?

We stayed at the Westin in December, which was lovely but slightly over budget. Our friends stayed in the Protea Victoria Junction, nice rooms and an OK restaurant but fantastic location in town. A short ride to the Waterfront and lots of lovely restaurants within walking distance.
