Any recommendations, ladies? My skin has always been a little sensitive i.e. could never wear the slightly sparkly, photo-type foundations from Lancome etc - but it seems super-sensitive here with weird water, sun, sea, etc. Anyway, just bought a lightweight E Lauder foundation (used to be fine with that brand) and lo and behold my skin has broken out and feels really irritated. I only need something for evenings, as I just use moisturiser/sunscreen daytimes. TIA!

i have painfully sensitive skin (rosacia) and i find that mineral foundations are the best. in fact since they came onto the market its made such a huge difference to when i do use makeup. some brands are more expensive than others, i did what hotpot suggested and got samples until i found one i liked. it ended up being a mac one for me. hope this helps ps, clinique burns my skin terribly

Ask for a sample of something to try at home so you don't waste anymore money. Maybe even take a little pot so they can put some of the tester in it, incase they don't have samples to take away.

Great suggestions - had completely forgotten about Clinique! haven't used since school days when everyone got that yellow moisturiser - the dramatically different moisturiser? And minerals - excellent.... happy skin, here I come, hopefully!

I also have very sensitive skin and am a big fan of Clinique, whose big marketing thing is hypo-allergenic and fragrance free. It doesn't suit everybody apparently though.

Have you tried any of the mineral foundations. just did a quick check on line and they are hypo allergenic.
