The only thing I don't know is how to check how much I've used as I go along.. There is a great app called myDataUsage which tells you what you've used

I just got a 3g and have a pre-paid package with Etisalat that costs Dhs 145 a month to download 1GB. Apparently it'll just cut off if I exceed my limit. The only thing I don't know is how to check how much I've used as I go along.

because we can ......LOL seriously? why not? You can stay permanently connected, not always searching for wifi. We often travel to places that are obscure and have difficulty connecting.
