Moving back to Dubai from canada advice needed
Hi every one
I’m so glad this forum is still up and running. My 13 year old daughter ( turning 13 in August) and I are moving back to Dubai after being away for almost 6.5 years. We currently live in Toronto and we are Canadian citizen.
My daughter just finished grade 7( would be finishing grade 8 in Dubai!). We are planning to be back around end of September- beginning of October and looking to areas like The Greens , Jlt, motor city and Marina.
Two questions:
Considering my daughter had to redo grade 2 here according to Canadian standards, so now she is going to grade 8 in canada. Im wondering abt one knows if the schools will accept her in grade 8 ( she will be 13) or she has to jump to high school ?
Anyone moved from canada to Dubai with a teen? She used to go to British school in Dubai.
Second question: which school(s) is suggested for her as a bridge to start with ?
I used to teach grade 7&8 myself back in days.
