ok - I need people to play devils advocate with me.

I work for a company that is beside the GICCO metro station and have now decided to move from al rigga but I found an apartment in silverene towers on the marina and five minute walk from the beach -

the metro is right outside the tower.

is it really that bad to travel an hour to work ????

HELP

Hi, I used to work in Bur Dubai but because I wanted to live in the Marina I commuted 1 hour every day one way only. It was totally worth it and not that bad as I just got used to it. I read on the Metro, which I found very rewarding as I don't ever get to read when at home, etc...The rush can be a bit frustrating on the train platforms but once again, you just get used to it. I used to listen to music as well on my phone, or meditative podcasts, etc...I would rather commute more and live in the area I really like then make do with a less desirable neighbourhood just so that I could walk to work. Just my preference. ;) I agree with you. As long as you'll be comfortable with your new place, then it will be better. The travel time won't matter as long as you're using your time properly. As time goes by, you'll get used to it. You just need to enjoy the little things in life :)
