Is that expensive? It would cost around 25k yearly, +/- depending on who you go through....

DMCC might be able to help. It all depends on what you are trading in!

Hi there, a friend and I are planning to start an online business in the UAE, but not sure what licences we would need/rules there are. We'll be selling a digital and physical product through a website - what is the best way to set up the business? It seems that setting up in a FZ isn't possible because we want to sell products and not services. We could set up in the UK and open a branch here, but that might be too complicated. There may be some importing costs but most of the costs will be production related and we should be able to get everything here in the UAE. Should we think about becoming a sub-sid of a company here so we can trade and sell products? What about setting up in the UK and opening a branch here? Or is this too complicated? ANY ADVICE WELCOME!! I'm struggling to find anything relating to setting up an e-commerce business. I know it can be done because there are e-commerce businesses in the UAE that sell products here. Thanks, AnnieD
