My son's year group is going to be having a fun day next week and they have been asked to dress up in the appropriate beach attire from the 1920s. I am trying to convince my son to slick his hair back to look wet and will purchase a moustache (or use my eyeliner to draw one on him).
I'd love to have a couple of all-in-one boy's swimming costumes made for him and a friend to wear; has anyone spotted any blue and white t-shirt/jersey fabric on their travels around Dubai?
I live very near Satwa so will pop down tonight but was wondering if anyone could give me a head's-up on a particular shop...

It's been a while since I checked myself BUT...there used to be a fabric shop on the first floor of Jumeira Centre that was known for stocking a variety of jersey fabrics. Certainly worth a shot! I went to the Textile Souk in Deira in the summer, but honestly hardly glanced at the jersey fabrics, just saw the ubiquitous fake "Missoni" jersey fabric there....

Haven't seen any stripped interlock or jersey in Satwa just plain, but swimming suits were also one colour and also dark in the 1920's. Might be better in a dark colour so there bits don't show to much...If you get what I mean... or he might refuse to wear it...
