Why aren't there any supply teaching agencies over here?? I am thinking of setting one up as there are so many mums who are teachers but don't want to work full time.....anyone know of any hurdles that are stopping me from setting this up????

Trade license regulations/KHDA for starters. You HAVE to supply everybody who works for your company/agency with a visa and ideally medical insurance/housing or housing allowance/income etc! They are not allowed to work anywhere else, they are your employees. So the costs of that are extortionate and make no sense in the business plan you might have. However, I do agree with you, it would be great to have something like that but unfortunately it is simply not allowed in this region. I also believe there are no substitute/supply teachers here as for example in the UK who work part-time only. The schools employ teachers/learning assistants/shadow teachers/special needs assistants, etc...

Speak to the KHDA I imagine it isn't allowed otherwise someone should of thought of this. Aren't most Teachers are permanent contracts and sponsored by the school or their Husbands? Are supply teachers even a thing here?
