Therapist for abused woman!
Hi everyone,
I am a new comer to these forums; and here on behalf of friend in need (that's not a euphemism; I am genuinely here trying to support a very very dear friend).
She has had a very rough childhood and suffers from a number of psychological disorders within a family that not only cares little about such issues but add their own mental abuse upon her.
Fast forward to now She is now 28 years old and she was recently severely abused (mentally and physically) by a boyfriend she trusted and knew quite well. It turned out he is a drug addict psychopath who fooled her and severly scarred her both physically and mentally. Yes we have also spoken to lawyers and in the process of filing a police report against him.
Along with legal actions, we now want to help her by first and foremost getting her to talk to a therapist who can genuinely help her and not milk her for cash.
Please if anyone has any suggestions for any therapist with a proven track record it would be greatly appreciated.
