I used to do laps at mushrif every other morning for quite a while and is good, I always went early morning (9am) and were a few ladies doing laps at that time. They do have some chairs dotted around so you could relax after your swim if you wanted to lie in the sun. I like the pool as it is shaded and was pleasantly surprised by how clean the facilities were - basic but had everything you need for basic swimming.

Thanks for the update, nonnoniente (grandpa nothing?) :-D You've answered a couple of my questions about the cost, so it would be 10 + 10 for me and my car. I'd be going alone. On that note, how is the pool for doing laps? Not to offend anyone, but that's my purpose for going there, You've said that it's shaded, which is nice, but do they have deck chairs etc and could I sit in the sun once I'm finished my laps. I want to include this type of swimming in my workout routine, which includes the Couch to 5K starting today (hee hee). My Couch to 5 K is indoors at our small gym. We have a pool here too but it's way too small to do anything substantial. Thanks for any help. ***Update - I just called them to ask about the size of the pool and if I can do laps. I was transferred to 3 diifferent people, none of whom understand English. So, if anyone can answer, is the pool good for doing laps? ;) edited by natalie8 on 07/05/2011

I can second what nonnoniente said. We went too but last summer. I went with my Mum, and DD and DS. We also were made to buy swimming caps, but they were not expensive. We had a great time. Nothing flash but a children's pool and shaded adult pool. It was all clean and at least when we went everyone was very friendly. Interestingly we were told that DS had to be under 7 years of age, after than he had to go next door, to the men's pool. Maybe they changed it. I did think that then at least my DH would have to get out and come with us too!
