I was wondering if any one has any tips on where should I stay in dxb however I want something close to Sharjah as I work there. I'm not keen about al Nahda due to the extensive traffic.

I think Al-Nahda is the best option for you.You have to face little bit traffic otherwise you can take Appartment in Mirdiff if you want to save your time in traffic.
