The Dubai Metro is a beautiful creation but is now getting a whole new artistic do

If Dubai is not beautiful enough yet with its concrete jungle aesthetic of all glass skyscrapers, symmetrical roads, architecture-challenging structures and more!

And it’s not odd to see street art that is adding to the city’s beauty aesthetic – you can see beautiful works done by international and local artists all over Dubai, including Karama, Satwa, JBR, City Walk and Jumeirah.

Now Dubai residents can witness gorgeous new artwork on the Dubai Metro itself.

A new initiative by Brand Dubai, will transform some of the Dubai Metro pillars into a canvas for graffiti artwork by the hands of two international artists – Daniel Cortez and Elio Mercado.

These two artists have already started painting the pillars of the metro line between the DIFC station and the Emirates Towers station – residents who live near that area or commute through there are in for a surprise.

And as a teaser of this new project, the Dubai Media Office released mock-up images of how the pillars will look like and they are just stunning.

This new initiative will continue in the future – artwork is expected to pop up in tunnels, bridges, bus stops and more public locations around Dubai.
