Dubai is constantly striving to be the best at everything and here’s yet another time it has proved itself.

| Last updated on 14 January 2020If a city can be called an overachiever, Dubai would definitely earn that label. From the world’s biggest mall to the world’s longest graffiti scroll, you’ll likely find one of Dubai’s accomplishments at every corner.
And now, it has achieved yet another record. The Guinness World Records recently confirmed that the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City is showing the world’s largest permanent projection mapping. It’s projected onto the side of the hotel and it’s a part of the multi-sensory Imagine show A Child’s Dream.

The projection is five times bigger than the largest IMAX screen in the world.
The show also features:
- HD video projectors that create over 1.4 million lumens of light
- 30 illuminated fountains, reaching up to 50 metres
- Nine high-powered laser systems
- Six massive aqua screen, giving off the illusion of liquid walls, and covering 1,271 square metres.

The story revolves around a little boy’s dream. It portrays his magical imagination of mystical whales, treehouses, robots and airplanes all coming to life.
The Imagine show was previously awarded a world record in December 2016 for the largest water screen projection.

About 20,000 students worked together to raise awareness for the Dubai Autism Centre. Together, they created a painting covering 10,850 metres.
Most blood sugar level checks
More than 80 nurses helped on an eight-hour diabetes screening at the Dubai Mall. They conducted 8,675 tests.
Largest display of bulbs
As part of the Remain Strong campaign to help those with Diabetes, 11,022 bulbs were lit up at Burj Park.
