Summer is all about that getaway and new experiences - and the new nighttime Dubai Ferry service is a must-try this season!

Whether it’s a weekend trip to the Lourve in Abu Dhabu or a treat yourself afternoon, there's plenty to do with the weather is too hot outside.

Luckily for residents and visitors, Dubai is home to many exciting landmarks that are ripe with activities and sight-seeing opportunities.

Just in time for summer, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) unveiled a new, fully air-conditioned evening ferry to sail passengers to the city’s most popular tourist destinations.

On Thursdays and Fridays, the ferry will depart from Sheikh Zayed Road Station, taking residents and visitors on a course through the Dubai Water Canal to see the Burj Khalifa, Festival City, Dubai Creek, Old Souq, Al Seef, Spice Souq, and La Mer. The ferry will leave on 9 PM at Fridays and 10 PM on Thursdays.

Adults can ride for AED 50 (silver class) or AED 75 (gold class), and children between 2 - 12 years old can enjoy 50% off on fare.

Passengers will be able to take in the majestic light and water show at the Dubai Mall fountain and at Festival Bay.

Regular trips run from 4PM to 10PM

The evening ferry will only operate if there is a minimum of 21 adult passengers. At just a little over AED 1,000 for 21 adults, it’s the perfect opportunity to take a night-time cruise with friends and family.

Mohammed Abu Baker Al Hashimi, director of marine transport at RTA’s Public Transport Agency said, “The launch of this line is part of RTA’s efforts to enhance the tourist profile of these areas, which have an attractive array of captivating urban landmarks.”

“RTA is always keen on launching initiatives to boost beach tourism in Dubai, especially as Dubai has a long coastal line with huge tourist attractions. The launch of this line will support RTA’s strategic plans aimed at attracting more fans to marine tourism,” added Al Hashimi.

Adults

  • Silver class – AED 50
  • Gold class – AED 75

Children (2 – 12 years old)

  • Silver class – DHS 25
  • Gold class – AED 37.50

Below 2 years old – FREE
