It's Raining in Dubai and Residents Are Happy About It

Over the past week or so, residents of Dubai have shown mixed feelings over whether they want it to rain or not... If it does, we risk large puddles, potential flooding and traffic chaos. But on the plus side, the air will freshen up and the winter season will most definitely be felt.

It seems the weather predictions have been correct so far nonetheless, as rain drops have been seen in various areas of the Emirate today (Sunday 22nd), with residents taking to social media to share their excitement over the weather change.

Some residents are a lot more excited than others...

And some want the cold and wet weather to stay!

Indeed, Northern parts of the country have been experience rainfalls over the past week or so, with parts of Fujairah, Dibba and Kalba experiencing the most heavy rainfall.

Twitter account UAE Weather (@NCMS_media) have been live updating with areas of the Emirates that are experiencing rain at the moment, with recent posts sharing the news that light to moderate rain is over Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Etihad Road, Al Twar and Al Qusais (link here).

If you're commuting home this evening, we advise you to take extra care while on the roads, drive at a reduced speed and keep a safe distance from other drivers around you.
