Rumors regarding the UAE Commemoration day have been denied

There have been rumours circulation about schools being closed for the UAE Commemoration day, however, educational authorities have denied them.

They have confirmed that schools will remain open and will function as normal on Commemoration day on Thursday in the UAE.

Every year, the UAE Commemoration day is held on November 30 to commemorate those lives given to protect and serve the United Arab Emirates.

However, we reported that Commemoration day, previously known as Martyr’s day, will be observed a day earlier on Thursday, November 29 in the UAE.

Ministries in the UAE and the UAE government had stated that institutions in the country will witness Martyr’s day on Thursday, but have denied any rumours regarding the day being off.

Some establishments in the UAE will observe a flag raise in the morning and a minute of silence for all the martyrs of the country followed by the UAE national anthem.

However, since the Commemoration day is followed by the UAE National Day, the country will receive a long weekend.

The ministry has announced that Sunday and Monday will be off for the celebration of the 47th National Day in the country. Work and schools will resume as normal on Tuesday, December 4.
