A statement issued by officials this week has confirmed the change in date for celebrations

It was announced this week that the UAE Flag Day celebrations, which normally fall on November 3rd each year, will instead take place on Thursday 2nd November, 2017.
Confirmed by a circular released by the Ministry of Cabinet and the Future, all ministries, federal bodies and their affiliates have been asked to raise the UAE flag at 11am.

UAE Flag day is a day of national celebration and pride, and aims to restore the flag's values, which is a symbol of the country's unity and greatness - as well as respresenting the aspirations for a better future for the people of the UAE.
