Reach For the Stars
ExpatWoman went along to Talise Fitness' New Moon Yoga session. If you're looking for a new place to find your zen, this is definitely worth a try!

Led by the face of Talise Fitness, their lifestyle ambassador Meetu, over thirty women and men sat ready to begin their yoga session on the terrace of one of Dubai's recognisable towers. Myself included, sat ready on a borrowed yoga mat with no clue what to expect. Each attendee was also offered a complimentary bottle of water, piece of apple and a clean, fresh towel to ensure our comfort both before and throughout the session.
Our class was surrounded by the towering buildings, bustle and lights of Downtown Dubai and DIFC. With the Burj Khalifa standing strong in the background of our class, I felt ready to endure my first session of yoga. The class lasted 90 minutes; which was plenty of time to explore all the different poses that all yogis love while Meetu led the class.

The emphasis and chosen night for the class, which coincided with the month's new moon gave nod to the notion of letting go of old goals, worries and stresses. The point was to set new goals, with the new moon shining over head. I definitely felt rejuvenated after the class was over, and thanks to Meetu and Talise Fitness, becoming a full-time yogi myself is on my to-do list!
You can join Meetu and others at the New Moon Urban Yoga classes every month; members price is 50 AED, and non-members pay 99 AED.
