When it comes to celebratory fireworks, Dubai certainly goes all out!

After fretting over where to watch the shows and braving through the traffic, were the fireworks worth it? We definitely think so! If you’ve missed it, well have no worry, we’ve put together some of the best pictures for you to enjoy.
The firework spectacle by Emaar Properties centered around the tallest building in the world, the iconic Burj Khalifa. Millions were able to witness it live on their TVs as well as through Twitter's Live Stream of the event.
Just before midnight, Downtown Dubai was encased in darkness - but not for long! The sky lit up to the sounds of amazing music especially composed for this event by Dhabiwood Studios. It didn't stop there, the show was hightened with pyrotechnics, laser shows and LED displays.

Arabic and English New Year greetings spread across the screens as visitors were spellbinded by the the thousands of fireworks. The Dubai Fountain added that extra dazzling touch, with dancing water and fire especially choreographed for this night.

Fireworks art in the form of a falcon made an impressive ending to the show, as we looked to the newly opened Dubai Canal and the Dubai Creek Harbour. An artistic touch, showing a link from Dubai’s past to its future.

Not to forget the other spectacular fireworks across the city at Burj Al Arab and Atlantis the Palm. Those lucky enough could watch more than one location's fireworks.
