The firework spectacle by Emaar Properties centered around the tallest building in the world, the iconic Burj Khalifa. Millions were able to witness it live on their TVs as well as through Twitter's Live Stream of the event.

Just before midnight, Downtown Dubai was encased in darkness - but not for long! The sky lit up to the sounds of amazing music especially composed for this event by Dhabiwood Studios. It didn't stop there, the show was hightened with pyrotechnics, laser shows and LED displays.
