Same boat (no pun intended) we are relocating to Scotland, had a chap round this morning, said all the things i wanted to here, spare room in container, looking at getting car and furniture in same container to save money. Giving me quote tomorrow am. will keep you updated, If i have space we can share if anyone inerested.

One thing we noticed when getting a quote for some furniture items was, as it is based on volume, they told us not to dismantle anything, (then gave a lame excuse as to why!) as basically they are charging way more money.

We've used GAC here in the Gulf and Whites from the UK - both reliable, nothing lost of broken and reasonably priced, though GAC charged us much the same from Bahrain to Dubai as Whites charged us from UK to Bahrain - pricing is all about volume apparently not distance or weight. Whites use GAC as their agents here.
