Marydots, the honey would be worth a try for your friends psoriasis. Also depending how bad it is, Lush dream cream had had helped loads of people that have suffered for years with eczema and psoriasis complaints. lexie yes get a cotton bud or spatula, and apply direct to the skin problem, then you can cover with a plaster or some type of dressing if the scratch, wound is big. For spots, I just put a tiny blob on. It is a nightmare to get out of clothes and pillow cases so it needs that dressing over the honey. I have also used a piece of cling film just to cover it before putting clothes on. I got a really bad cat scratch a few months ago all across my chest, 5 big scrapes that were deep and bleeding. I looked like I'd been attacked by a tiger. After research, I bought the 20+ manuka honey, applied it twice a day for 2 weeks and it completley disappeared. I have had tiny scratches over the years from cats etc that I have just left and they are still red! The stuff is brilliant. I know a lady in her 40's that brushes her teeth with honey and has had no fillings etc! <em>edited by Hotpot on 07/02/2011</em>

I have the 20+ as it is for surface wounds etc. You can get manuka honey with no grading but that wouldnt have any benefits for skin complaints. If you Google it, there are some sites with loads of info on it, lots of hospitals use it for really bad wounds as its healing properties are amazing. Thank you so much, Hotpot. If anyone has any experience with Manuka Honey and psoriasis, pls let me know.

park and shop at the Al Wasl branch defo has it in, with all the different umf ratings. It is the cheapest aswell. I never saw the umf rated one in any of the Organics stores, and Boots the Chemist stock it at triple the price of park and shop. I love the stuff, especially for cuts, scratches, scars etc. you r applying it on the scratch itself???? i got some flu and and the same time following candida diet - cutting down sugars and yeasts - so found out that manuka honey is the only one allowed (not best case scenario though cuz still sugars). I got UMF 15+ from Organic in DM

Park'n'shop has it...they have a couple of different ones - depends on how high you want the "UMF" number Are you sure Organic store doesn't have it....I am sure I saw it in the greens yesterday....though I don't think they one they carry has a UMF number..... I could be wrong about that, they did seem to have lots of out of stocks, but they definately had NZ honey I remember seeing it and thinking"not on my list"
