Its fake leather. Also called pleather as in plastic leather. Real leather doesnt do that.

I have a " leather " suite but after 1 year itis peeling off and there is like a fabric underneath - this can t be right surely ?? It could be a very,very thin layer of leather bonded onto fabric backing. It's possible that this could peel if the leather starts to crack/dry out.
