Funny, I just had this conversation with my DH a few days ago. Firstly, you need to have your Bronze Medallion and then you would need to check what the formalities are for lifeguarding here in the UAE. I know in Australia they take this extremely seriously and there are many ways to achieve this. I've put the link here for you to have a look. It's The Australian Lifeguard Service but there is also a tool bar on the left hand side that talks about lifeguarding overseas. Might be worth a read! http://www.lifeguards.com.au/Become%20a%20lifeguard/Lifeguard%20training%20ALS I think anyone that has alot of experience with open water and the ocean in particular is a wonderful candidate to help others and reinforce the importance of safety and awareness on the beaches here in Dubai. My DH would be perfect for this, it's just trying to fit it in to his already busy schedule. SH

Does anyone know if there is a course here in Dubai where you can train to be a qualified life guard?
