I've been doing a little bit of weight lifting, nothing too extreme, and today I have this giant bruise on my arm. Could they be related? Because I don't remember getting hit with anything or bumping into anything that would have given me this bruise.

Thanks for your response. I figured it must be from the weights because I was working my arms (I guess too hard), and I am stiff, so that probably does explain it. I do know that unexplained bruises can mean more....so I guess I'll just watch out if any others appear.

It is possible. I remember playing mixed volleyball one evening and when I was cleaning the bathroom mirror the next day I noticed a massive black bruise on my bicep. I remembered being achy after the game but nothing extreme and nothing had hit me. I didn't think it was medical so I asked my ex-BIL who was a PT and he said that I probably did it when I tore the muscle from repeated serving. The bruise stayed more than a week but I had no long term damage. That said bruises can indicate medical issues so if in doubt get to a doctor and check it out :)
