Hello!
I will be moving to Abu Dhabi from the UK in four weeks to join my husband. I am 30 yrs old and have 3 young children aged 5,3 and 2 (2 girls and a boy). We will be living in Golf Gardens and my eldest will be starting yr 1 at Brighton college in Sept. I would really like to meet new people and have some fun with the kids. If there is anyone out there that would like to meet for a coffee and chat whilst the kids play then please message me :-). Scary and exciting times ahead!!

Ellene x

I'm serious =\ I've copied and pasted it to make sure it's not a typo. I've tried yesterday and today as I was having some internet connection issues. It's just not coming up for me. Nothing under page, group, person....nothing. If I just search for mums groups I get several pages with lists of names and it's not coming up there either. Can someone invite me maybe? Layla Shahzad ...pic is of me and 2 kids. I used to be the only one with that spelling of my name ;-) Hi, I have found you and have requested the admin to join you...hope it works!

Hi Ladies, So glad I've found this website. I'm 27 years old from the UK (Wales) and pregnant with my first child. I'm moving out here officially when the baby's born (so sometime after December). I too am in the same position as many of you, my husband has a job here (he's been here for 4 months) and I have no friends :( well apart from those that he socialises with. We all know that's not the same as having your own set of mates. I came over about 10 weeks ago and felt the heat then but being here 2nd time around and during the worst possible time (heat and Ramadan) I have decided that I need to get my butt in gear to meet people. Currently I cannot see much to do here apart from shop and there's only so much shopping any girl can do! I would appreciate it if anybody would like to meet up or know of any coffee mornings etc that i could go to. My email is [email protected] I'm here until September 14th

Hi Ellene, My name is Vicky, we came to AD from the UK in March and so far its great, I am 30 too, I have 2 children, 3 and 2, and they are going to start nursery for 3 days a week in Sept and we all cant wait. We live in Mohammed Bin Zayed about 15 to 20 mins away from Golf gardens I think, At the minute it is Ramadan so things are a little quiet and its very hot, my kids have settled in fine, they love that its sunny everyday, and I am still finding my way around but I am alot better now. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask, you can e-mail me at [email protected], take care, not long now........ you will be fine

Hello. We arrive on 7th Sept in the morning. I visited my husband about a month ago and felt as though I was melting! So hot! How are you finding it settling in? Do you have any children, if so how are they finding it? Sorry for all the questions but it's nice to speak to someone already there! Maybe we could meet when I come out??

Hi Ellene, Unfortunately I live in Dubai but just wanted to say that it's not as scary as you think it will be! I've been here for 4 months now. Good luck!
