We're going to be in AD for a few days next months. Trying to decide what to squeeze into the trip and what to leave out. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks all.

Oh yes, I forgot Emirates Palace- definitely agree with sonomachic. I also recommend trying the BBQ Al Qasr there in the evening, for a special supper in a gorgeous setting, elegant and casual at the same time. They have tables on the beach, live music, and shisha, to go along with your bbq.

agree with everything in the last post and would just add a quick stop at Emirates Palace to see the hotel. It is night and day to what you will experience at Herritage village and gives you the opportunity to see how far this country has come in 40 years.

Top of my list to take my visitors to: The Grand Mosque is a must see. They give great free guided tours Sun-Thurs at 10 am. Women must be covered and they will loan you an abaya and shayla free of charge for your visit. Check out Manarat Al Saadiyat. They always have a great show in their gallery. Currently they are showing an exhibit of Emirati artists. Have an excellent coffee and scrumptious dessert at the restaurant there afterwards. The Falcon Hospital is a really fascinating visit, and you will get the chance to hold a falcon. Heritage Village is an interesting stop. Most of it is closed midday, so morning is your best bet. I would also recommend a desert safari if you haven't done one. Cyclone Tours is a good company to go with. Hope you have a great visit here in Abu Dhabi!
