Good Morning All,

I'm having trouble finding activities (music, art, physical, etc.) for my son who will be turning 3 years soon. As I am a stay at home mom I do not need to have him in full time day care but would like classes/activities a few times or days a week for him. We recently relocated here from the States and he has only stayed with me or grandma, I'm finding he is now in desperate need of interaction with other children and adults.

The only classes I have found were Saturday classes - however, I would like to keep the weekends clear for family activities and travel.

I sincerely appreciate your advice and assistance as a new Expat,
Anamarie D

p.s. we are in The Tourist Area but am willing to travel.

Hiya! Welcome to Abu Dhabi! You should check out Abu Dhabi Mums, they have a facebook site and a website (although this is a little out of date). There are LOADS of activities on during the week for all different ages. This afternoon there is a "Mix and Match" on which is basically a large room with lots of space and lots of toys for children of all ages up to age 6. This is at Zayed Sports City, same building as the Tennis Stadium in the Majlis room around the back. IT runs from 3.30 to 5.30 today and is also on Wed morning 10 to 12. You can go along for a look see, it's 20dhs, and find out more about AD Mums, then if you wish you can join for 150dhs and have access to lots of different groups and activities, you definitely wont be bored and will meet lots of other expat mums in the same position as you. I am knowledgeble on this as I went last week myself for the first time with my 1 year old and will definitely go back. Hope this helps!
