We are thinking of dismissing our live in maid as she has become quite lazy recently - and before your all go up in arms over that comment !!! I am being fair..I have pointed out all the things she is not doing and she still has not improved - I wont list all the issues as thats not the point of this post..she is up at 7am ish cleans for a few hours - does some laudry and ironing for a couple of hours in the afternoon - the rest of the day she is in her room outside not doing anything - we are both home at 5.30ish and we dont see her again for the rest of the night (she doesnt cook for us or the children)- our children are older now so we dont neet a nanny as such just a housekeeper/maid as we both work full time...now we are thinking of moving to a small villa with maid room inside the villa we are considering a agency maid to come in a few hours a day rather than a full time live in....does anyone else use a live out maid, if so did you get through an agency if so which one..??? also is having a live out maid actually legal. are you still required to sponsor etc?? any advice would be welcome

I have heard really good things about a company, Exiles, or soemthing like that. I live in EY Plaza, so I keep seeing the bus. They come at a certain hour, and pick them up at a certain hour. And one of my colleague says that they are great. I don;t know what chores they do or can't do, but check it out. It might be worth it.

I've never had any luck with a live in maid. I'd rather do the work myself than explain the chores to her everyday for 6 months and she still gets it wrong!!!

So if you use a maid from MAIDS.AE for example - do you have to sponsor them ?- are they not classed as live out maids ??

you can have a live out maid, some apartments do not have room so they have live outs but you still need to sponsor the maid and you still need to provide accommodation whether in your house or elsewhere. the other way is to use an agency. its still the same anyone working for you you must sponsor.
