Confused on whether renting a villa separated into diff. Units is the right choice???Could someone please advise me!
Try to make it as short as possible. My husband came here on a work visa and my son and I are on a visitors pass until the residency is issued etc... We saw an apartment and think its perfect its in a villa separated into 4 different units. Also water and electricity are included meaning it will be under the owners name and no need for my husband to register his name.
My concern is we heard not having a "utility bill" under my husbands name could become an issue in the future with our family visa. Now this doesn't make any sense to me really. What does a family visa have to do with having a utility bill registered under his name in order to not have conflicts later on with my husband (our sponsor) & family visa? Is this true? Or it's nothing to worry about? Because my husband was told you also have to have the "apartment contract" attested by the Municipality. I'd appreciate any feedback. Feeling lost and I really was happy with the apartment but we are holding on signing any contract until our doubts are clear. Being it's a weekend now, we have o wait again until Sunday and the Municipality Is open.
