since we upgraded the software (earlier this year) my batter does not stay charged for the whole day, i put a new battery in last week, but still the same issue, something must be running to use it all up, but cant find out what.

Try this little trick - it speeds things up. Hold down the 'alt' key and type lglg. It will then say 'clear log'. Click on that and it will get rid of all the old stuff. Works for me!
