Hi Ladies,

I'm 24 and my husband and I are currently living in Zurich/Switzerland.
We have a little baby boy, he's 8 months old.

My husband does now have the opportunity to take a job at Etihad as a first officer, and now we are looking for contacts there :) We're planning to rent a 5BR villa in Al Reef, does anyone from Etihad already live there?

Thank you very much in advance and have a nice day , Claudia

Hi Claudia, Al Reef also has a couple of community pages on Facebook. Hope that helps!

Hi jojobaaklini, thank you so much for your reply! I don't know this Abu Dhabi Mums Website yet,but I'll try to find it on the internet. That sounds really great, especially for my baby it would be great to have contact with other children. You're absolutely right, al Reef is quite far from the center, but I think it's good value for money there. I'll have a car, so I hope that that's ok then, even if it is pretty far out. I'd be happy and to get to know you and your son sometime, thank you for your help! :-) Claudia :):)

Hi Claudia Congratulations on your husbands job offer! I hope your future move goes well and is everything you hoped for. I believe there are many Etihad employee's living in Al Reef as its situated extremely close to the airport. There are also a lot of families which will obviously suit your needs with your baby. I used to work for Etihad for many years but have now left the company to be a SAHM to my 10month old son. I live in the city but hopefully some of the Al Reef clan will pop up with some good information for you. I will look out for you though when you arrive as we do lots of activities in and around the city with the Mums and Baby groups, you may have seen the Abu Dhabi Mums website already? But one thing I would hope is that you will be driving and have a car as its quite a way out of town(ie 30mins to downtown corniche) for a Mum with a baby, you may feel quite isolated at first, of course it's just my opinion, I don't live there so it might suit you? Again I'm sure the other ladies will offer some good advice, just shout if you need anything HTH
