Hi All,

We are moving to Abu Dhabi early April and looking to try and get our 2-year old into a good nursery, preferably where she can stay on to do FS1 from September. Our 7-year old will go to Brighton College and so location around there would be ideal.

Any recommendations / suggestions much appreciated ...

Thanks in advance :-)

Hi D-J Sorry to butt in - I couldn't see your thread...is it recent? I would like to have a look too.... Abu DhabiDooo - I recently moved here and am trying to find the same thing (nursery that includes FS1) as I have heard that one does exist. However, the only nurseries I can find in Khalifa area at least, are nurseries which run their own FS1 5 day a week 'equivalent' curriculum, which is fine of course...but hubbie's company won't pay for those.... yes they will always be 5 days a week and no if you are lucky enough to get school fees paid for, which there are a lot of companies that dont, they usually pay from either fs2 (reception) which is the proper age of children in brit schs started or from their 5th birthday, so sometimes you may not even get that if they are a july birthday etc. but at the end of the day, if you get some help with school fees its better than nothing at all. and you will find that the majority of people who do put their kids in nurseries it all comes out of their own pockets and it costs the same as big school too!

Thanks in advance :-) there arent any nurseries around brighton college, the nearest are either in kca or humpty dumpty/bright beginnings in town. but the really popular ones have big waiting lists. fs1 (nursery) you can get a british curriculum schools but will be full for the next academic year, all the other nurseries go up to that age.

Hi.. Check My 13 Month Old Twins thread. Best of Luck. p.s: if your LO is not 3 by September she will not be able to join FS1 (in case you didn't know).
