Hi, we will be starting in Repton probably soon. I love the school, nice, clean and organised. One challenge only; how do you organise transportation? They don't have school bus yet and I don't have a car. Anyone with the same problem?
That sounds amazing. What a difference from the classes of 30+ here in the UK! Thanks for the advice regarding the bank account. I am due to arrive this Saturday, so hopefully we will be able to meet in the playground one day or perhaps at a coffee morning. Co-incidentally, we have the same name, so i'm sure we'll stumble across each other at some point.
I hope your son enjoys the induction day tomorrow, and that he has a happy start in his new school. Would love to know what you think of it next week, if you get a sec.... :))
Yes, my son will be in FS2. There are 3 classes of 10 children. Tomorrow we have the induction day so I will have more information...
BTW, be prepared to pay registration fee and term fee as soon as they offer you the place. They will want a cheque to secure place so try to sort out a bank account as soon as you arrive.
See you soon!
Thanks Antonia. It's reassuring to hear that the assessment wasn't so scary. Will your son also be in FS2? Our children might be in the same class if my little one passes the test...I hope it's finished on time...I guess this time next week, we'll know for sure.
Hello Fifi
Just had assessment for Repton yesterday and according to my son it was easy. It involved a puzzle and some colour matching. The real concern is whether the school will be ready. I drove through there and there are some builders working frantically.
Good luck with the move...
Hi everyone,
I am due to arrive in Abu Dhabi from London very soon, and am quite nervous about the move. I have yet to secure a school place for my 4 year old, and wondered if anyone had heard anything about this new school, or what the assessment for an FS2 child might entail? Any advice about schools in Abu Dhabi would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
