Hi,
I really need some advice. I am trying to marry in Abu Dhabi Court. We are both Muslim. I was previously married but now divorced and have my Decree Absolute (correctly attested). I also have a statutory declaration which states I am single which was prepared, signed and witnessed by the Pro Consul at the UK Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
But the Judge said no ....
He said I need a certificate to prove I am single. My statutory declaration states "I am single ...." but the judge requires it to say "We confirm she is single ...." (or something along those lines).
My question is ... does such a certificate exist? If so, where can I get one?
I would appreciate any advice you can offer.
