Hi brit2texan, I think its best you see a Gynaecologist first as she/he will help to ascertain if yo would need to meet with a fertility specialist. Unfortunately, I can't guide you on a Dr. as I do not know any US/UK Drs here. Hope some of the other ladies on here can help you in that regard. Good luck.

My husband and I have been trying to have children for over a year now and its a painful reminder every month when I start my period. I want to go talk to a doctor about infertility but have no idea of where to start. Should I go see a Gynecologist or should I go straight to a fertility doctor? It would also be helpful if someone could give me some advice on where to go or who to see
