Hello again,

Sorry to be such a pain but need your advise on paediatricians in Abu Dhabi as well.
I have a teenager and a 10 yr old.

Thanks,
:)

Good to see some other recommendations, it is hard to know where to go. Ruby, you can see the same doctor at Burjeel as they have an appointment system so they will ask which doctor you prefer when you book. I'm not sure about Al Noor, I think it's more of a drop-in clinic but you could call to see when your preferred doctor is on duty. We used to use the German Medical Center which was nice and had one ped so you had some continuity but then they closed abruptly and we have been a bit lost ever since! I know some friends see Dr Eva at Burjeel as mentioned in the other post, and some see Dr Khoury (I think that's his name) at the Advanced Cure Clinic. We are leaving AD in a couple of months so I just see whoever I can get for the moment! Good luck.

My grandson who is visiting on holiday has been very poorly this week (he's 22 months old) and we took him to see Dr Fani at the Harley Street Medical Practice near Marina Mall. She was lovely and very thorough. We then had to take him to Al Noor Hospital (near Carrefour, Old Airport Road) and he was seen by Dr Majid in the paediatric clinic. He was excellent too. Both doctors called me afterwards to check up on how he was, which really impressed me. Hope this helps. edited by lulubaker on 02/10/2013

Hi Beany, Have been caught up in the daily routine so couldn't thank you earlier! I've heard that there are smaller clinics as well where you have a fixed ped. I wouldn't prefer to have a different ped for the kids every time we visit a hospital. Any recommendations on the names of paediatrician's as well as preferred clinics and hospitals. Much appreciated. :)

We have struggled with this as doctors tend to come and go. Recently we went to the new Burjeel hospital which was a good experience - it is nice and clean, didn't have to wait long and the doctor was fine. They have several peds, both male and female. If it's just for general illnesses then I would try there, if it's anything more serious/specialised then I would probably go to Mafraq Hospital.
