Being far from home comes with its challenges...let alone being far from home and expecting. I am expecting for the first time Dec2nd. It would be nice to have a group of women to share a like experience with, not just via a chat group; meet for ice cream or coffee, sandwich, just to chat... Anyone interested, let me know :)

Hi Shruti, mabrouk on your second baby. Why don't you sign up for their pre natal classes? Unless they stopped it? I signed up during my first pregnancy. They even brought the mommies and daddies into the delivery room on level 3. Very educational and when the time came, my hubby and i were not panicking not knowing where to go. My doctor was Dr Imad and he is great. Funny too (this is important so the tension was reduced during labour). I did not even know i was dilating. Maybe because I was not sure what kind of pain am i supposed to feel. Hahaha. Yes they do have individual rooms, at least I was given my own room. But my husband was not happy to be sleeping on the small sofa that night. Maybe whoever it is staying over to accompany you should have extra blanket and pillow. They have all facility except if you deliver prematurely. For this case they will ask you to go to Corniche hospital. That is the only hospital with incubators, at least that was the info two years ago. Please ask your doctor all possible questions and i would recommend you attend the pre natal classes. Or you ask the nurses if Karina (the lady who organises the classes) still working there.
