yep never been to dubai zoo, when we first moved out here heard very bad reports about it and the fact that they were trying to shift to bigger places, its still in the same place hasnt moved so dont go there, the only place that is fine is the al ain zoo as they are a bit spread out.
I'm an animal lover and therefore would never go to one of these circuses. I think that the owners should be treated as they treat their animals (note: I'm not a people-lover!).
I went with our nursery and it is true they use pokers and metal hot sticks to get the 4 lions and 1 tiger to do tricks. The animals were agitated and we walked out because we thought it was cruel. The circus had two hours of acrobats first before they brought the animals on. I would not go and recommended that it was not appropriate for the nursery to attend in the future either.
Are these the same people that had 2 tiger/ lion cubs kept shamefully last year and were so malnurished they couldn't walk?? From memory Municipality stepped in but it would be shocking to think they are back again.
i wouldnt go to anything here that involved animals. somebody that i know works at a nursery and they took the little kids there yesterday, but all walked out when they started to hit the lion across the head with a metal stick because it wasnt doing what it should be.
Shame!!
Absolutely agree. It's a real shame the municipality has allowed them here. I would like to think that people won't go [wherever they are'> then these kinds of circus would cease to exist.
