The sister in law of my maid is looking for work. She is currently in AD. Let me know if you are still looking and I can provide some contact details.
Actually my maid's residence visa expires in August, but she might be going home in June, so i haven't actually started the looking process yet. I will start interviewing a couple of months before she leaves. I'll ask u again then, thanks :)
But u still have to pay 12 multiply the salary of the maid to the government if ur doing the paper work urself?
Yes you do , Thats why when complete your contract with the govt you state the min pay rate (which is multiplied by 12), then what you pay your maid on top of that is at your discretion.
Its not illegle eather.
I'm quite surprised. For the past 4 years i thought going thru an agency was by law, and to be honest, agencies have become very expensive and not reliable when it comes to the descriptions of the nannies. Im recruiting a nanny starting from June and i'd love to be able to interview her beforehand.
Another inquiry would be about the salary. How much do live-in nannies (not thru agancies) take?
Thanks all.
A friend of mine was told she had to go through a Agency and forked out 3000Aed and that was before The residency stuff was done. I advertised for my Nanny on here and other Forums and must of interviewed close to 30 all together before finding the right one for our Family, Its a daunting process but worth it to get the right person especially when they are caring for your child.
As far as payment it depends on what you want to pay there is a min wage but I'm not sure what that is ,I think anything less than 1000aed per month is pure slavery but that's just my thoughts.
There are alot of ladies on here with Nannies who will be able to shed light on how much they pay.
We are looking at paying ours 1800Aed with opportunity for pay rise after 6 months.

I'm sorry for this question, i know it must have been answered a billion times, but is it possible to hire a nanny/maid directly without an agency? i mean is it ok when it comes to the sponsering of the residence visa part?
Thanks.
If you want to pay more then go through a agency, Otherwise do it yourself its pretty straight forward. Just have to make sure you have all the right paperwork when its needed.
there are two legal ways to get a maid, through an agency who then take care of all the paperwork, and then sponsoring yourself, where you have to go to immigration and sort out the paperwork yourself.
