we've been over house hunting this week and decided on a town house in Raha Beach, Al Muneera. (cant wait) there's me and hubby and our 2 daugthers (age 3 and 9 mths) also got another on the way (july). it seems very quiet there at the minute, so any hints/tips of places to go and things to do while Mr H is working during the day would be great.(and also as a full family when he's not!)
Also, recommedations on school for eldest and a hospital/doc to deliver baby no 3.....very much looking forward to our new life and meeting/making new friends....

Thanks for the information but I'm looking for toddler groups rather than nurseries. I won't be working whilst I'm here so don't need to send my boy to nursery but keen for him to still interact with other children. I have heard of st Andrews but wondered if there were any others. Any info would be great. Thanks

We are thinking of living in Al Muneer too as we have just moved to Abu Dhabi due to my husband job. Just wondered if you have moved there yet and whether you like it? I wasnt sure whether they had a play groups as I have a 20month little boy and very keen for him to make friends with children the same age. Hope the pregnancy is going well.

yeah spoken to Al Yasmina who state she's eligible but there are full and there is a waiting list! in the uk she wouldnt be starting school til Sept 2013 as she isnt 4 til October, so suppose no harm done her attending a nursery again for another year, just would've been nice as she is so switched on and ahead of herself think it would have done her good. any good suggestions for Nursery's in the area too? nurseries close to raha beach: they are in kca. little smarties, humpty dumpty, little bee, stepping stones kids academy <em>edited by busybee2 on 16/03/2012</em>

(dont want to get my hopes up) are there any 'social' groups to attend for meeting others? very difficult, have you tried talking to them. the nursery and reception years are the most over subscribed, you may be best putting her in nursery and applying for the year after, you have to apply jan/feb time depending on schools to get any chance of getting them in. also look at bcad they are new this year they may have room for next year but again you SHOULD talk to the registrars to ascertain what its going to be like, the schools such as bsak,aldar and bcad will have waiting lists.
