Residency Visa Renewal Rules Change Abu Dhabi

The General Department of Naturalization and Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi has issued a new set of procedures for visa renewals in the Emirate.

The tenant now has to submit a valid tenancy agreement and a recent residency utility bill as well as a landline number when applying for a visa renewal. The tenant’s landline and mobile number must be issued in his name.
In the case of executive bachelors living together, the names of all tenants must be reflected on the tenancy agreement with one of the listed tenants owning the landline and subscribing for electricity and water.

If the person renewing their visa is over the age of 60 years, they must have a letter of approval from their employer in order to ensure a successful residency application and health insurance.
