travel story on Bahrain

It appears that I'll be visiting Bahrain shortly to write a travel story on it. I've never been and am working on an itinerary, but would love to hear suggestions on what would be a must-visit destination/experience, keeping in mind the story needs to retain a luxury/discerning traveler angle.
Also, anything that's new (other than the Four Seasons?) - restaurants? art galleries? shopping destinations? anything?
