Help can anyone advise, we have taken on a phillipino maid here on a tourist visa, my husabnd went to immigration to change her visa and was told the rules have changed and that our maid has to leave the country and return on the work visa, we have also been told that a run to Hatta/Oman wouldn't be sufficient and that she would need to fly out.
My husband is looking into flights to Kish??? for her and himself - he thought he should go to in case there are problems as he is her sponsor

Anyone experienced this or have any advice???

Thanks

Thanks Hi dear. this question has been answered a thousand times here. I myself have given answers because I hired two fil ladies and had them exit as well. Both times I booked them via flydubai with very cheap rates. Oman or bahrain or qatar. whichever is cheaper. you book them to fly out and to fly in on the very next flight. They just go down and fall in line back . There's no waiting time. Your husband doesnt need to go with her. No worries really. My maids told me that most of those in the flight were doing the same thing - visa re -entry. I even remarked that this exercise is a complete waste of time as it takes us longer time to drive her to and from the airport compared with her flying time itself. Btw, when they re-enter Dubai, they need to present that working visa you had with you as sponsor, and then it will be stamped, she will be eye scanned etc. After this formalities, you would have 2 months on this to have her go for medical and go back to immigration to process the visa stamping, labour contact et al. and the process ends there and you will be 9,000 or so DHS less richer.

Oman Air to Muscat is about the same price and the times are much nicer. My new lady did the exact same thing last month on her own and it was really easy.
