I took my Jack Russell last night at 7ish to the Veterinarian Hospital in Al Quoz (no idea where else to go) and thought I had heard on the phone the emergency visit would cost me AED350. It turns out the cost was AED750 and with the injections for his stomach bug is came to AED920. I'm still shocked! A regular consultation there costs AED140. Does anyone know of another vet service that I can contact next time that doesn't charge such crazy prices? Maybe this is the norm and I'm just stuck!!

Thanks :)

Thanks for letting me know about the Pet Connection. Will keep them on my phone in case of emergency. I also found out yesterday at Al Safa Vet that they have an after hours service at 0508817048. Not sure what they charge, but hopefully it's less the 750. My pup in on the mend which is the good news :)

I sometimes think it would be cheaper to use the ER at American Hospital than to use vets here! ;)
